The Channel Plus MDS-6A is a Six-Zone Music Distribution System that can accept up to six different music sources. It offers 480 Watts of system power, 40 Watts per channel, with up to 12 channels available. The MDS-6A offers the installer a Page/Doorbell input jack as well as a Music-on-hold output jack for interconnection of an optional Communications Controller. Music Control is accomplished via either the MCS-1A or MCS-2A keypads. Each provides you with flexible control over the MDS-6A and connected music sources and gives the user feedback on the status of the system. The keypads are back-lit and are supplied with white and almond bezels. The MCS-1A is a single gang Decora™ style controller with volume, mute, and source selection buttons. An IR target is provided that allows complete control of the connected music source. Learning Remotes can be configured to duplicate the MCS-1A's volume, source and mute control. For complete system control, use the MCS-2A double gang control. Equipped with all of the functions found in the MCS-1A, the MCS-2A adds total source control to the MDS-6A system. A full learning keypad with onboard universal code library, the MCS-2A will learn IR codes from each of the six sources including track selection, play, start, stop and other key functions. In addition, the keypad can learn up to 25 macros with 10 steps each. Macro codes are permanently stored and can be cloned between additional MCS-2A controllers.
