AFL VFI3-01-0900PR HiLite Miniature Visual Fault Identifier is a visible red laser designed to inject light energy into a fiber. Sharp bends, breaks, faulty connectors and other faults will “leak” red light generated by the VFI, allowing technicians to visually spot the defects. A VFI is a useful addition to any fiber optic field tool kit. It can locate faults inside an OTDR’s dead zone, perform quick continuity checks, trace fibers, check splices and field installed connectors.
The VFI3-01-0900PR uses a threaded connector adapter interface to support tool-free adapter removal for connector cleaning and field changing of adapter styles. Universal connector adapters offer quick connection and test to single ferrule connectors such as FC, SC, ST, LC, MU, and more.
2.5 mm adapter accepts PC and angled connectors FC, SC, ST, etc.
1.25 mm adapter accepts LC and MU connectors.
